Obituary of Lois Vera Boggs

Lois "Vera" Boggs, age 84, of Adrian passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at Grand Court surrounded by her family and under the care of Hospice of Lenawee. She was born January 3, 1928, in Mosgrove, PA, to Hartsell Leon and Cora Elizabeth (Moore) Morrow. On July 20, 1946, she married Lloyd "George" Boggs. He preceded her in death on July 30, 2011. Vera was a member of the North Rome Baptist Church. She dearly loved cooking, baking, cleaning and making a wonderful home for her family and friends. She enjoyed ceramic classes and making homemade candy and cookies. She doted on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She gratefully appreciated all her friends and helpers at Grand Court and Hospice of Lenawee. Vera is survived by a son, Tom (Tammy) Boggs of Somerset, Michigan; two daughters, Joyce Seager of Adrian and Georgia Boggs of Okemos, Michigan; two brothers, William (Shirley) Morrow of Ford City, Pa and Larry (Karen) Morrow of Ford City, PA; three sisters, Janet Gearhart of Kittaning, PA, Sandy (Joe) Brena of Pitts, PA and Sonja (Red) Connell of Yatesboro, PA; seven grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Michael, at birth; a son-in-law, Jerry Seager, a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Babe Morrow; a brother-in-law, Harry Gearhart and a brother, Chuck Morrow. At Vera's request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at North Rome Baptist Church with her grandson, Pastor Fritz Kruse officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the North Rome Baptist Church. You may send condolences to the family at www.andersonfuneralservices.com.
