ConAgra Sauce Team lit a candle
Friday, June 17, 2022

Jarred was a valued member of our team at ConAgra. We started up a new line last year and dealt with many challenges the past several months during our startup. Our team had all brand new equipment which brought many challenges. Jarred took those challenges head-on and was a very valuable, and irreplaceable member of our team. Jarred will be dearly missed by me and so many people at ConAgra. Jarred was part of our family and this has hit us very hard. Jarred’s contribution and value to our team cannot be overstated. We were so saddened to hear the news of his passing. Thank you Jarred for blessing us with your presence. We will miss you dearly. Our condolences to his friends and family, he was a great man.

Jarred was a great guy with a kind heart. He could always be counted on to check in with you, even if it had been a while. He was a giving person who never hesitated to help a friend. Fun-loving of adventures in life, loved music and freedom. You will be missed buddy, rest easy Jarred.

Bird was 10 years younger than me, first time i met him he was just a little country kid riding around the yard and shop on his little dirt bike. i met gene when i was only 12 or 13, when my father took me and my mini bike down to have gene fix it. time went on and gene fixed a lot of my bikes. jarred was always there in the back ground or in the grease with him. i knew of him but did not know him well until 2016 when we both ended up riding the same model bike victory cross country tours. from that minute forward we rode together often. i couldnt make the texas trips with him but we made several up north and over the bridge. in 2021 in january i learned of the 1st makinaw bridge motorcycle rally, we both were stoked and had to go!! and we did, racking up over a thousand miles that weekend. lost track of each other when we got there but still had a great time!! this year in january they announced the rally again. at first he didnt wanna go because of the crowd being so big with so many unexperienced riders. but after a few minutes of thought and talking, we began to plan the trip. we found a great hotel and we both invited several friends. at first we had 6 or so bikes going, then one by one they all dropped out. we both were very excited about going. and vowed nothing would keep us from the 2nd annual makinaw bridge rally. 2 weeks before our deoarture day i blew my head gasket on my bike. i still wanted to go so my wife and i planned to drive the van up . 4 days before departure after all the planning of the ride. we had to bow out and not go. jarred threw a few choice words of me being a girl and a female cat. but we both laughed about it. we had planned to go up lake hurron all the way to the bridge because of construction being heavy on 127. then we planned to ride to taqahmanon falls then over to munnising to see the waterfalls there, then on to marquette to eat and head back to the bridge . then sunday take 131 back home. it would have been an epic ride i was so bummed all weekend, then devistated on sunday as we all were. jarred and i were friends for the last 6 years we had the same bikes,we worked on our victorys together in the shop and it was very rare to see 2 of our bikes at the same time anyplace. we always rode out front when we rode, we allways blew the harleys away with smiles and we always called those guys on the harleys that we rode with friend. gonna miss the long rides, the busted knuckles in the garage working on the bikes, as will his other close friends jim, wexler, chad, holland and many others who felt the same as i did about the man. we disagreed sometimes but always felt the same about the bikes and the road.. gonna miss you bird, you were my victory riding buddy and our ridin days are over together now, but the ride never ends so ride high in the clouds my friend ! i can almost see the grin on your face as you pull away from us into the sunset, blowing us all off the road one last time. peace to you, you will never be forgotten

I've known Jarred for many years. We were not close but would always wave or say hello. We are on each others social media and keep in touch there like I do with most people I know. I rode with him a few times when I was in my late teens and early 20's a few times, and again when I had my HD V-Rod a few years ago. We got together and got some food and enjoyed the weather and the motorcycle ride of course. Most recently we had conversed as I have gotten back into ATV's and we would talk about some of the repairs I was doing. I also got to see a lot of his repairs and updates and painting he was doing and recently finished on his motorcycle. Point is no matter how much time passed we are able to pick up and talk like we were best friends, Jarred had nothing but kind words to say and was great to be around and to talk with. Jarred was full of knowledge and would be happy to help or point you in the right direction. Lastly, this has to be the most I have used Jarred's name vs Bird. My condolences to your family, he will be missed.

To Jarred's family,
I know you don't know me. I went to grade school with Jarred and we reconnected several years ago. He was such a nice guy, loyal friend, and the kind of person you wanted to be around. He was the kind of guy that made you feel like you had a unique bond together, but now that I read condolences and postings, I realize he made everyone feel that way. Please know you are ALL in my prayers as I know the past year and a half has been very difficult for your family. I will never forget my friend Jarred and the way he made everyone feel, his enthusiasm for bikes and anything motorized, his love for life and family, and his smile that could light up a room. While our loss seems overwhelming at times, it seems Heaven has gained another angel. I will forever miss him.

I had just met up with Jarred and Angela on Thursday 6-9-22 for breakfast at Cravins in Hudson and then to ride up to the Machinac Island meetup together. He was in a good place. Very happy to be doing what he loved. Riding and finally heading out on the trip he had planned for a few months prior. After a few hours we split off at Cadillac and I watched them continue on 131 North and that was the last time I saw him. He was a great friend. He'd never cut you down or take a dig at you to make himself feel better. He was a great guy. He influenced me to be more like him. Just to be myself and speak my mind. His memory will remain with me forever. RIP my friend.
