Obituary of Denver Keefer

Hudson - Denver Ross Keefer, age 80, of Hudson, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at his home under the loving care of his family. Denver was born on March 28, 1942, in Adrian, the son of Denver and Bessie (Smith) Keefer. On October 26, 1962, in Morenci, Denver married Beverly J. Walker and she survives. Denver was a strong willed, hardworking, simple man. In his younger years, he had been employed in the construction industry and then transitioned over to EKLUND Broach as a Tool and Die Maker retiring on March 30, 2007, after 40 years of service. He was a hobby farmer and enjoyed collecting old tools and construction equipment. Most of all, Denver loved the times and memories he created with his family over the years.

In addition to his wife of 59 years, Beverly, he is survived by two sons, Christopher (Diana) Keefer of Onsted and Jacob Keefer of Palmyra; three daughters, Sandra (Jeffery) Terry of Gladwin, Julie (Richard) Rodgers of Manitou Beach, and Nicole Keefer of Adrian; three brothers, Carl (Jan) Keefer, Alvin (Diane) Keefer, and James (Gwendolyn) Keefer all of Fayette, OH; five sisters, Arlene Patke of Sylvania, OH, Marlene Eckel of Archbold, OH, Betty Shaffer of Delta, OH, Lois Hazzenzahl of Morenci, and Elaine Deck of Clayton; nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Lorrane Patterson; and one brother, John Keefer.

Per the family’s wishes, all services for Denver will be private and he will be laid to rest in Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci.
