Obituary of Deborah Kazmierczak
Sand Creek - Deborah Sue Kazmierczak was welcomed into the arms of her Lord, Jesus Christ, in the early morning of April 15. She put up a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer but came to the place where she advanced in a different direction. Deb was born to Jerry and Marilyn Jones on May 31, 1964. She graduated from Morenci Area Schools with the class of 1982. She went on to earn an Associate Degree in early childhood education. Deb married Robert Kazmierczak on September 11, 1982. The couple reared three daughters who survive; Jessica (Louis) Belluomini, Charlotte (Josh) Seegert and Lesley (Eric) Whitehead along with three grandchildren; Sophie and Cora Seegert and Silvio Belluomini, a brother, Scott (Tammy) Jones, her parents, Jerry and Marilyn Jones and her mother-in-law, Gloria Kazmierczak. Preceding her in death was her father-in-law, James Kazmierczak.
Deb was a devout Christian woman who quietly lived out her faith in her generous caring for others. She had a heart for the dismissed, the overlooked, and the marginalized. She was a tireless and vocal advocate for justice for all of God’s children. Her interests were many and various. Deb was an outstanding cook and baker. She was an avid reader and movie buff, never forgetting a given movie’s actors, producer, and director. In her fifteen-year career at Lenawee Intermediate School District, Deb helped shape young lives and bring out the potential of many children who had special needs. Where many saw only challenges, Deb encouraged and nurtured unseen possibilities for these young lives. She was a true Difference Maker for many.
