Obituary of Larry C. Barron

MORENCI-Larry Charles Barron, age 84 of Morenci, entered into the Lord’s presence, on April 10, 2022, at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Toledo, OH.  He was born on January 9, 1938, in Adrian, MI to Charles and Pauline (Mills) Barron.  Larry was a graduate of Adrian High School, class of 1956.  He married Joanne Wotring on June 15, 1957, at the Nazarene Church in Adrian.  Larry was employed at GM Powertrain for many years before retiring in 1991.  He also was involved in real estate as a realtor for over 50 years.  Larry enjoyed showing and selling homes and making connections with the people he met.  He was an avid Detroit Tigers and Elvis Presley fan.  Larry spent much of his free time fishing at various lakes in the area, Dyer Lake in Lake City was his favorite spot.  He was a devout Christian and had been a member of The Gideons International since 1992. Above all else, Larry enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Joanne Barron; children, Bonnie Gale, Robin (John) Sweet, Jim (Cynthia) Barron, Connie (Tim Davis) Looper, John (Pamela) Barron, Dennis (Lynn) Barron, Tim Templeton-Barron and David Scott Barron; 18 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.  Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Barron and Pauline (Archie) Cutler; grandparents, Myron (Katie) Mills and an infant brother.

Per his wishes cremation will take place.  A memorial service for Larry will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at 3pm at Bethany Assembly of God, 2045 E. US HWY 223, Adrian, MI 49221.
