Obituary of Curtis Swartz

Curtis James Swartz, age 80, of Howard City, passed away on April 9, 2022, at Spectrum Health Meijer Heart Center in Grand Rapids. He was born on May 6, 1941, in Hudson, MI the son of Percy W. and Dorothy E. (Shaw) Swartz. On June 20, 1964, in Hudson Curtis married Joyce Janine Carncross and she preceded him in death on April 25, 2021.  Curtis is a United States Army Veteran and employed with General Motors for over 45 years.  When he wasn’t working, he liked to ride horses, show rabbits and fish.                 

Curtis is survived by his siblings Barbara Bates-Parkhurst, Marilyn (Larry) Hawkins, Ken (Mary) Swartz, many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; grandparents; and sister, Donna Schmitz.

Visitation for Curtis will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2022, from 11 A.M. until time of service at Noon at the Eagle-Marry Funeral Home in Hudson. Burial will be in Lickley Corners Cemetery.
