Obituary of James Edsel Stidham
Addison – James “Sunny” Edsel Stidham, of Addison, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at Henry Ford Allegiance Health in Jackson at the age of 86. Jim was born on February 3, 1936, in Marion County, AL the son of John Golden and Myrtle Ann (Holland) Stidham. Jim married Irene Gutowski on April 21, 1981, Florence, AL and she survives. He had been employed with Dura Automotive for over 30 years. He was a member of the Corvette Club in Adrian, enjoyed cars, sports, and loved fishing and shooting pool.
In addition to his wife, Irene, Jim is survived by his two daughters, Connie Stidham Ross and Jennifer (Krystopher) Durell; grandchildren, Steven Stone, Cole Stidham, Arianna Durell, and Kaden Durell; brother, John Stidham Jr; sisters, Linda Stidham Burnett and Retha Johnson; three great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Randy James Stidham; sisters, Mary Ruth, Carrie Joyce, Wanda, Dorothy, Joyce, and Glinth; brother, L.D.; son-in-law, Tom Ross; sister-in-law, Patricia Stidham; and brother-in-law, Harold Johnson.
The visitation for Jim will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian with Rev. William Van Valkenburg officiating. Burial will be held in Oakwood Cemetery.
