Obituary of Alice Wanda Seager
ADRIAN – Alice Wanda Seager, age 105, of Adrian, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Legacy Assisted Living in Jackson. She was born July 21, 1916, in Palmyra to Albert and Emma(Ott) Ehlert. She graduated from Blissfield high School and then from the Lenawee County Normal. She had been employed by the Maurice Spear Campus, retiring in 1982. Alice was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and did volunteer work for the Department of Aging.
She is survived by three daughters, Eileen Gautz of Adrian, Carol (Rick) Vernier of Jonesville, and Diane (Gary) Southwell of Salmon, ID; seven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Emma Ehlert; brother, Jack Ehlert; sister, Clara Bierley; and two sons-in-law, Dean Gautz and Lloyd McMichael. The family would like to thank the staff at Legacy Assisted Living in Jackson for their wonderful care of mom these past five years and the friends who faithfully visited her.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian with Pastor Joel Sarrault officiating. Burial will be in Lenawee Hills Memorial park, Adrian.
