Obituary of Richard Alan Henry Jr.
SAND CREEK-Richard A. Henry Jr., age 84, of Sand Creek died Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at his home under the loving care of his family. He was born November 15, 1937, in Adrian to Richard A. and Bernice (Boughey) Henry Sr. On November 13, 1973, he married Emma Lee Bays in Adrian. She preceded him in death on March 2, 2009. Richard had been employed by Goodwill Industries for 20 years. He enjoyed camping and fishing.
Richard is survived by his children, Gwen (Joe) Kelley of Alabama, Arden Bentley of Northville, Kelley (Doug) Elliott of Sand Creek, Dawn (Randy) Stewart of Adrian, Hope (Steven) Adams of Alabama, James (Celeste) Bentley of Adrian, Richard (Kelly) Bentley of Adrian, Tammy (Jamie) Drouillard of Tecumseh, and Tammy (Bob) Smith of Onsted; brother, David (Kathy) Koertge of Walled Lake; 31 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Emma and his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughters, Sue Bentley, Barb Zimmer, Vickie Phenie, Karen Bentley, and Kathy Neely; and a son, Michael Bentley.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian with Pastor Jamie Driskill officiating. Burial will be in Dover Center Cemetery.
