Obituary of Erich Dieter Stachowske
Adrian – Erich Stachowske, age 74 of Adrian, passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022, at Charles and Virginia Hickman Hospital. He was born on September 20, 1947, in Peine Germany. While serving in the United States Marine Corp and stationed in Hawaii, Erich met Marion Kohara. On February 13, 1970, Erich and Marion were married in Honolulu, Hawaii. Erich was employed for 25 years as an insurance agent with Aid Association for Lutherans.
Erich enjoyed fishing and hunting once he retired. He was a proud grandfather who enjoyed being surrounded by his grandkids. He was a proud member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church and the American Legion. Erich loved to watch various sports, but his favorite was watching the Detroit Tigers. He loved to make various, yummy treats such as banana bread and apple coffee cake. He enjoyed dropping off these treats to his friends and family so he could just have a chat. He was always out and about at the local grocery stores shopping.
In addition to his wife, Marion, he is survived by his children Sabrina (Kelly) Stachowske, Micheal Stachowske, and Rachel (Chris) Kirchner, an aunt Else Harke, a nephew Matt Stachowske, his grandchildren Amanda Stachowske, Brandyn (Shannon) Hoag, Zachary Stachowske, Justine Jackson (Erik Rosado), Eric Pauley, Riley Stachowske, Elijah Stachowske, Kai’liko Stachowske, Justin Kirchner, Andrew Kirchner, Nicholas Kirchner, and three great grand-children Ryker Klempner, Ahna Rosado, and Martin Rosado. Erich is preceded in death by his parents Reinhard and Olga (Fritz) Stachowske and two brothers Helm and Bruno Stachowske.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 22, 2022, from 4-7 PM at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home in Adrian. Funeral service for Erich will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at 11:00 AM, at St Stephen Lutheran Church, with Pastor Brian Keller officiating. Interment will follow in Lenawee Hills Memorial Park in Adrian.
