Obituary of David G. Wright

David Glen Wright, age 75, of Hudson, passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at   Ascension Borgess, Hospital in Kalamazoo. He was born on December 19, 1946, in Hudson the son of Lawrence and Delores (Groom) Wright. He was a 1965 graduate of Hudson High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army. David married Sharon Gates in September 1985 in Hudson, MI and she survives. David was a member of the Hudson Wesleyan Church. He loved to read, especially his Bible, and he enjoyed teaching Sunday School at church. For 13 years he delivered meals on wheels in Hudson, also volunteered at the local food pantry.  

In addition to his wife, Sharon, David is survived by his daughter, Jessica Tripp; brother, Stephen (Linda) Wright; and sister, Dixie Papsdorf. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Per his request he was cremated.  On Wednesday, February 16, 2022, from 10-11 am the family will gather at Hudson Wesleyan Church, with a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Wesley Rowan officiating.  With a burial of cremains to follow.
