Obituary of Gregg Sword
Gregg E. “Fuzz” Sword, age 69, of Waldron, passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at his home under the loving care of his family. He was born on March 22, 1952, in Hudson, the son of Fred and Phyllis (Gregg) Sword. On July 7, 2017, in Hillsdale he married Julia Kay Berger and she survives. Gregg had been employed with General Motors as a Hilo Driver, retiring in 2006. Gregg was a motorcycle enthusiast, enjoyed farming, and loved to chat with everyone. Most of all, he loved his family and was a grandpa to many.
In addition to his wife, Julie, he is survived by his sons, Shane Sword, Steve (Jennifer) Sword, Shaun Sword, and Jeffery (Sharon) Hite; two daughters, Stephanie Hite and Megan Osmun; three sisters, Gwen (John) Marry, Melody (Dennis) Brown, and Bobbye (Richard) Sanford; 21 grandchildren, Taylor, Morgen, Mason, Jenica, Jaxen, Jase, Shayna, Gavin, Zander, Makenna, Skottlyn, Daxtyn, Uriah, Gaige, Lilli, Boston, Brandon, Bethany, Ricky, Melody, Liberty; and one great grandchild, Ezra. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The funeral service for Gregg will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at Eagle-Marry Funeral Home, Hudson with Fr. Todd Koenigsknecht officiating. A private burial will be held in Dover Center Cemetery.
