Obituary of Steven Liewert
Steven Thomas Liewert, age 48 of Swanton, OH passed away peacefully on Friday, January 28, 2022 at his home.
He was born August 10, 1973 in Adrian to Tom and Susan Liewert. Steven graduated from Adrian High School in 1991. He was active in running LieWay Hunt Club, a horse riding and boarding business that he founded with his partner Robert. Steven also served in a variety of roles as a valued and loved team member at SwanCreek candle company.
Steven loved spending time with family and friends, relaxing and cooking out on his outdoor patio which he referred to as his “happy place”. Steve enjoyed being outdoors near water and on the pontoon. Steve always enjoyed trips to the casino whether at home or in Las Vegas. Every summer Steve looked forward to the German American festival. Steve loved Mexican food everywhere, but especially in Adrian. Steven loved spending time with his fur babies Frankie and Vail. Steve’s taste in music, movies and his sense of humor were shared by all who loved him.
Steven is survived by his two sisters; Carrie (Brad) Cox, Heather (Matt) Hughes, his brother Daniel Liewert, his nieces and nephews Megan (Amy) Cox, Katie Cox, Brandon (Janey) Hughes, Isaac Hughes, great nephew Harvey Hughes and by his partner Robert Wayner and close friend Peter Kelley.
Steven is preceded in death by his parents Tom and Susan.
A Memorial Service will be held at Anderson-Rudd Funeral Home (9205 US 223, Blissfield, MI 49228) on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, beginning at 6PM, where family will greet friends beginning at 11AM until 1PM, then continuing at 4PM until the time of service.
