Obituary of Leonard Lee King
Adrian – Leonard Lee King, age 77 of Adrian, passed away at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital in Monroe on January 3, 2022. He was born on August 26, 1944, to George Marion and Bertha (Eastman) King in Jackson, Michigan. Lee married Patricia Wagener on October 10, 1962 in Wauseon, Ohio, and she survives.
Lee worked at Ford Motor Company in Saline for 30 plus years, until his retirement in October 1996. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, coached and played softball for Onsted Baptist Church, enjoyed camping, and loved western movies. He was a stubborn man that enjoyed having his Kesslers while watching his westerns. He had a tough exterior but was a teddy bear inside and always had a pot of something cooking for his family and anyone that visited.
Surviving besides his wife, Pat, are daughters, Andrea (Rob) Hall, Ginger Auten, Marnie (Frank) Espinoza, and Heather (Jim) Willnow; grandchildren, Frankie, Tayla, Chelsea, Tori, Sami, Greg, and Alyssa; great-grandchildren, Dameon, Bryce, Elizabeth, Alexander, and Lucy; three brothers; and one sister. He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Matthew Rae Willnow; five brothers; and four sisters.
According to Lee’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
