Obituary of James Fuller Miller
HILLSDALE – James Fuller Miller, age 88, of Hillsdale, passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021, at his home. He was born on August 23, 1933, in Adrian to the late Charles Richard and Lucille (Stevens) Miller. After graduating high school, he attended Jackson Community College and graduated with an Associates Degree in Tool and Die. He married Marguerite Glinka on September 13, 1952, in Adrian, and she survives.
James was an avid fisherman and hunter – a true outdoorsman. He played the guitar and sang at Ogden Community Bible Church of Ogden, as well as being a past Sunday school teacher and church treasurer. He had the best stories, loved to play the card game Oh Heck and is known as Captain Jim
of Sand Lake.
In addition to his wife of 69 years, Marguerite, he is survived by his children, Lou Ann, Jeffery J. (Teresa), and David L. (Carol) Miller; grandchildren, Kelli (Kyle), Justin (Lissa), Josh (Hunter), Jordan, and Jonathan; great-grandchildren, Jade, Skylar, Nora, Sloan, Owen, and Ella; and his beloved pet, Bella. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Wendell, Earl, Chad, and Danny; sisters, Blanche and Bonnie; and a daughter-in-law, Joye Miller.
Funeral services for James will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at 1:00 P.M., at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home in Adrian, with Pastor Gary Miller as officiant. Interment will follow in Lenawee Hills Memorial Park in Adrian. The family will receive visitors, also on Wednesday, from 11:00 A.M. until time of service.
