Gloria Tice Bishop, 84, fell asleep in the Lord on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Hospice of Lenawee surrounded by her loving family. Gloria was born on October 15, 1936 in Savannah, Georgia to the late George and Susie (Fryer) Tice. On January 1st, 1956, she married the love of her life, Mack R. Bishop in Savannah, Georgia. For many years, she worked for Bixby Hospital in Adrian as a Ward Clerk and Social Services Secretary. Gloria found great enjoyment in reading scripture, singing (especially her favorite hymn, Amazing Grace), playing her organ at home, gardening, and was a gifted poet. She loved sharing family stories, spending time with and making new friends. She was generous, caring and a wonderful council to her family. She loved most of all living for the Lord, being a mother, and sharing her life with her sweet heart and husband, Mack, for over 64 years.
Left to cherish her memory are the love of her life, Mack R. Bishop; her daughters, Pam Andre and Paula Lulli (Gary); her son, Mack W. Bishop, Sr. (JoAnn); her grandchildren, Melissa Cholak (Ben), Sarah Penrose (Brandon), Matthew Andre (Christina), Andrew Andre (Stephanie), Garrett Lulli, Justin Lulli, Stephanie Clink (Joshua), Mack W. Bishop, Jr., and Nicole Rickard (Brad); her 11 great-grandchildren; her brother, William P. Tice (Joyce); and many beloved other friends and family members. Waiting for her at the gates of heaven are her parents and her brothers, George, Jack, Robert, and Elton Tice.
Gloria's family will receive friends during a time of visitation at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home (3050 W. Beecher Rd. Adrain, MI 49221) on Friday, October 1, 2021 beginning at 2pm until 6pm. Those in attendance are kindly asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing. Service and interment will take place at a later date in Hamilton, Alabama.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lenawee or Reformed Baptist Church of Lenawee. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
