Obituary of Chad Davis

Adrian – Joseph David Chadwick Davis, age 40, went home to be with Jesus and in the presence of God on May 3, 2015. “Chad” was born November 8, 1974, in Adrian, MI, to Roger and Charleen (Knotts) Davis.

Chad was a born again believer in Jesus and Savior of his life. And of God the creator whom Chad prayed and believed. Chad was baptized at age 16 but he had accepted Jesus into his life at an earlier age.

Chad worked as a press operator in the printing department of the Daily Telegram in Adrian. He enjoyed playing golf and cards, especially Euchre. Chad’s love for music was immeasurable, not only listening and enjoying his favorite band, Led Zeppelin, but he was also a gifted musician himself playing both the bass guitar and drums. Other hobbies of Chad included bowling, target practice with his bow, and gardening.

He is survived by his son, Joseph “David” Chadwick Davis II of Adrian and a granddaughter on the way;  his parents, Roger (Kim) Davis and Charleen Davis, both of Adrian; his grandparents, Wallace Davis, Doris Davis and Relda “Sam” Marleen Morgan all of Adrian; his step-mother, Helen P. Davis of Adrian; 3 brothers, Jonathan “Jason” Wayne Davis, Joshua Evan Davis and Anthony Jason (Katie) Maliszewski all of Adrian; his girlfriend, Bobby Staley of Adrian; his former wife, Annie Davis of Adrian; former brother-in-laws, Larry, Leon and Jeff Anderson all of Adrian; former mother-in-law, Barbara Anderson Faulhaver of Adrian; his best friend, Elden “Ted” (Karena) Cattell and special friends, Sarah Cattell Holtz and Beth Morris and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and extended family.

Funeral services for Chad will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian with Envoy’s Terry and Margaret Gaster officiating.  Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.  Condolences to the family may be left at  Memorial contributions may be made to Chad’s family to help offset funeral expenses.
