Obituary of Helen Turner

Adrian – Helen Turner, age 93, of Adrian, passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at her home under the loving care of her family. She was born on October 13, 1927, in Carmichaels, PA the daughter of Ira and Minnie (Maple) Phillips. On October 18, 1947, in Adrian she married Emory David Turner and he preceded her in death on August 25, 2003. Helen was a member of Bethany Assembly of God.

 

Helen is survived by her two children, Ralph (Carol) Turner of Adrian and Tammy Turner of Lakeland, FL; granddaughter, Melissa Beal; three great-grandchildren, Blake and Carly Simpson and Eli Beal; sister, Eleanor Friend of Mentor, OH. In addition to her husband, Emory, she was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Clayton, Cecil, Raymond, Charles, Arliss, and Donald Phillips; sisters, Mildred Grove and Thelma Gallatin.

 

The funeral service for Helen will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian with Pastor Ron Sparks officiating. Burial will be held in Lenawee Hills Memorial Park, Adrian.
