Obituary of Kathleen Ann Hepker

Kathleen Ann Hepker, age 70, of Hudson, passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2021, at the MacRitchie LTCU at Hillsdale Hospital. She was born on November 8, 1950, in Hudson, to Eugene “Gene” and Luella (Cunningham) Hepker. She was a graduate of Hudson High School with the Class of 1969 and a 1973 graduate of Oakland University. Kathleen had been employed as the Hudson Librarian for 35 years, retiring in 2012. Kathleen was a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis, The Thompson Museum Board, The Hudson Education Foundation Board.  Hudson Women’s Club, Friday Club, Red Hat Society, and the Bean Creek Valley Historical Museum. She served as Secretary for the Hudson Area School Board and enjoyed volunteering with the Bean Creek Heritage Festival and many local parades.

 

Kathleen is survived by her brothers, John Hepker of Pittsford, Mike (Lynda) Hepker of Indian River, and Steven (Sandy) Hepker of Hudson; sister, Susan (Paul) Fifer of Petoskey; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Gary Hepker.

 

Per Kathleen’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service for Kathleen will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Eagle-Marry Funeral Home, Hudson with Deacon Paul Fifer and Pastor Fred Slagle officiating. Burial of cremains will be held in Churches Corners Cemetery.
