ADRIAN – Nelma F. “Ginger” Marowelli, age 86, of Adrian, went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday, May 9, 2021, at Provincial House. She is now “absent from the body and present with the Lord.” II Cor. 5:8. “For me to live is Christ and to die is gain.” Phil 1:21.
Ginger was born August 25, 1934, in Jackson, MI to Marvin and Inez (Shannon) Baxter. On April 23, 1953, she married Bernard M. Marowelli. He preceded her in death on October 9, 2003. Ginger had been self-employed as a motel owner. She was a member of the West Rome Baptist Church.
Ginger is survived by three sons, Randy (Linda) Marowelli, Brent (Shelley) Marowelli, and Koby (Donna) Marowelli; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Susan, a brother, Gordon Baxter, two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Nelma will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, from 5-7 p.m. at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and social distancing regulations, only a limited number of individuals will be allowed in the chapel at a time and face coverings will be required. Funeral services will be private at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian with Pastor Jeff Malin officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
