Carmen taught at Grace Lutheran School in Eau Claire, MI; Immanuel Lutheran School in Medford, WI; and St. Stephen Lutheran School in Adrian, MI. Carmen loved the children she taught and thought of them as her family. She especially enjoyed telling them about Jesus their Savior. Carmen’s joy was serving her Savior through her church, and she lived by this verse: “Yes, for me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” Philippians 1:21 (EHV)
In her younger years, Carmen enjoyed swimming, water skiing, boating, biking and camping. She loved to travel and was an exchange student in Switzerland where she was also able to travel to the mountains and villages in Italy, Austria, and Germany.
