Obituary of Raymond Lester Pate, Sr.

Raymond L. Pate, Sr., age 83 of Ridgeway, died Thursday, January 7, 2021, at ProMedica Hickman Hospital.  He was born March 1, 1937, in Tecumseh to Bernie and Lola (Warner).  In September of 1954, Ray married Elizabeth L. Nagy and she preceded him in death on March 8, 2007.  He was a carpenter and served as the owner of Pate Construction.   Ray was an avid outdoorsman.  He loved to hunt and fish and also enjoyed gardening.  He was a very skilled carpenter and enjoyed spending time at his cabin in the upper peninsula.  Ray also enjoyed his kids and grandkids visiting. 

Surviving Ray are his four children; Ray Pate, Jr. of Virginia Beach, VA, Kathy (Chuck) Reed of Toledo, Cindy (Bill) Borgemenke of Hebron, KY and Sandy (Keven) Lapaugh of LosFresno, TX, 1 sister; Mary Keith of Clinton, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.  Preceding Ray in death in addition to his wife, were his parents and a sister, Lois Minor.

Funeral services for Ray will be private.  A public visitation will be held at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Tecumseh Chapel on Thursday, January 14, 2021 from 12 – 2 p.m.  Burial will be in Ridgeway Cemetery.  Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and social distancing regulations, only a limited number of individuals will be allowed in the chapel at a time and face coverings are required.  You may send condolences to the family at www.andersonfuneralservices.com.
