Obituary of Ronny Charles Pickering
JEROME –Ronny Charles Pickering, age 76, of Jerome, died Sunday, December 6, 2020, at his home. He was born February 20, 1944, in San Diego, CA to Benjamin and Mary (Rodriguez) Pickering. He served in the U.S. Marines from 1963 to 1967. Ronny had been employed by American Chain and Cable and most recently by General Motors in Adrian, before retiring on June 1, 2001. He was a member of the VFW Post #1584 and the Onsted American Legion Post #550. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, traveling, and playing scratch off tickets. Ronny had a great sense of humor, enjoyed helping and caring for others, and loved spending time with his family.
Ronny is survived by two daughters, Mary (Eric) Johnson of Morenci and Amy DeLine of Cedar Rapids, IA; several brothers, Steve (Debbie) Pickering of Dallas, OR; Phillip Pickering of Dallas, OR; Jeff Pickering of Dallas, OR; Scott Pickering of Dallas, OR; Terry (Peggy) Pickering of McKinzy River, OR; Jamie (Rebecca)of Aumsville, OR; and two sister Karen Romano of Chandlier, AZ and Jodi Anderson of Dallas, OR; and eight grandchildren, Lucas and Zachary Johnson, Madison (Mark) Mathis, Sage Satterfield, Kennedy Satterfield, Kendal (Aaron) Hendrickson, Kayla DeLine and Shea Glaw; great granddaughter, Ofelia Satterfield; cousin, Barb (Harvey) Lloyd; a niece, Lorrie Pickering (Ritz) of FL; and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; Edna and Charles Randolph; brother, Larry Pickering; Michael Pickering and one sister, Linda Pickering, and grandson, Ethan Satterfield.
Ronny’s family invites you to join them for a Celebration of Life that will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at the First Congregational Church, 104 W. Locust St., Morenci, MI, 49256. The family will receive guests starting at 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. in the church. Inurnment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci with Military Funeral Honors.
