Obituary of William Frank Ludolph
William Frank Ludolph age 83 of Palmyra passed away on September 29, 2020 at Spectrum Lakeside Hospital in Niles, MI. He was born October 1, 1936 in Chicago, IL to George and Estelle (Szymborski) Ludolph. William proudly served his country in the United States Airforce from 1955 to 1959 when he was honorably discharged. On October 15, 1960 he married Carole Fornal in Chicago, IL and she survives. He was employed by General Motors as a pipefitter and plumber. William served the community of Calumet Park as a volunteer firefighter, rising to the rank of Lieutenant. He was fond of the outdoors, feeding the deer, turkey, rabbits, and songbirds. He enjoyed working with his hands, whether it was building model planes or tinkering with an old car. Most of all, he loved his family and the times they shared. He believed that “All Are Welcome”. William was a member of Light of Christ Parish.
In addition to his wife, Carole, he is survived by a son, William Ludolph Jr; five daughters, Lauri (Raymond) Schedler, Doreen (Scott) Brown, Cricket (Nick) Householder, Sherrie Longfellow, and Caroline Kakembo; his grandchildren, Nicole (Rick), Ryan (Kelly), Raychel, Ray Jr. (Tammy), Cynthia (James), Ashley (Zach), Joseph (Brittany), Natasha (Alex), Scotty (Nick), Brandon (Brooke), Collin, Camdyn, Jessica (Emil), Charlee, Miles, and Aubriella; great-grandchildren, Tripp, Braylyn, Keke, Shyla, Maddie, Raymie, Lexie, Penny, Olivia, Jude, Aiden, Mayson, Alana, Kenny, Adeline, Emily, Ean, and Julian; and a sister, Peggy Porter. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Raymond and Jamie; a grandson, Eric Riley; a brother, George Ludolph; and a Godson, George Ludolph Jr.
A visitation will be held at Anderson-Rudd Funeral Home in Blissfield on Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 2:00 to 7:00 pm, with a scripture service beginning at 6:00 pm. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a limited number of guests will be permitted in the building at any given time and masks are required. A Funeral Mass will be held for Williams Family on Friday, October 2, 2020 at 11:00 am at Light of Christ Catholic Church in Blissfield, with Father Jeff Poll officiating.
