I am sorry to hear about Ramona. I will never forget being at Larry Longs funeral years ago and my Mimi (Loretta Long) and Ramona and I were chatting. The funeral director offered them coffee and cookies and me nothing. Mimi said, gee, what makes us so special? And Ramona said, we are the oldest ones here....they are recruiting customers!
It was always a treat to see Ramona. She will be missed.

Sharon, Greg and families,
Your mom will always be Aunt Mona to me - she was Jean's aunt so I felt like she was my aunt too. She was sweet, fun, and always up for an adventure. She was devoted to Genny and they were like two peas in a pod. I am so sorry for your loss. I'm sure that I'm not alone visualizing Aunt Mona being welcomed into Heaven with open arms by all who went before her and who have been waiting for her. God bless Aunt Mona.

Thank you for sharing that. It made me cry when you said she was your "Aunt" Mona because she was Jean's Aunt Mona. My friend Stephanie said that she felt as if she was her Grandma Mona because she was my Grandma Mona. She was just everyone's family, wasn't she? Such a special person.. I miss her so much already.

Dear Ramona's family,
Ramona's passing is the end of an era. She was the last living classmate of my Mom's (Ruth Gilson) graduating class in Deerfield. We were blessed to be invited to a few of the "Class Reunions" held at Ramona's retreat. Always a lady, perfectly turned out, the most gracious hostess, loved a funny story, mixed (and enjoyed) the best Manhattans possible and loved to cook and entertain. Her family was the most important part of her life. She loved having them all at the cottage and being surrounded by her kids, grands and greats. She was the sweetest lady and we are so happy to have been able to visit her at Ramona's Retreat. When you miss her...... look at the photos, remember the stories and fun times and most of all remember there is a part of her in each and every one of your hearts.
Sending our love and prayers, John and Connie Seiser and family

Sharon, Greg and family:
I am so sorry to read this sad news of your mother’s passing. So many beautiful memories of Romana. Romana was always up for a party. She was the Number One Party and Happy Hour Girl. Best cook and welcoming spirit. I loved all her “sayings.”. I am blessed to have know Ramona. May Ramona now rest in the loving arms of her God.

Through all my years of teaching at Deerfield, Ramona remained one of my favorite coworkers. Her genuine caring and kindness brightened our days, and she was always up for a bit of fun. She was a gracious hostess for get-togethers, and even stayed in touch once she had retired. May she rest in Heaven!

Dear Meyer Family,
Your mom was our inspiration for nearly 20 years with the Women of Prayer Group. We met at her home for 17 of those years and she was the perfect hostess. If someone forgot to bring a treat she could whip one up in no time. We moved to my home three years ago when her health started to decline. There is no way I can fill her shoes. We are having a Mass said on June 28th at 10 am at St. Peter's in Blissfield. If you need any information or would like to contact our group please call me at 517 486 2083
. Sincerely,
Penny Hashman and the Women of Prayer.

I will never forget her loving heart. She was a wonderful grandma to my daughter's Nicole and Heather. Her family always came first. Everyone knows what a kind and giving soul she had. I was blessed to know her well and I loved her. Praying for comfort and peace to the family.

Ramona, my dad's first cousin, was a very special woman, multi-talented, and very, very kind. May she rest in peace with Bud, and all the other family and friends that left before her. To Greg and Sharon, may you find comfort in knowing that you both were so awesome to your mother!
