This last week has been both beautiful and sad at the same time- Linda’s Hospice room was visited by family and close friends, some traveling hours to get here for one last loving visit with Linda/Aunt Linda. We have seen tremendous love everywhere through this- what a tribute to how she lived her life. The greatest gifts we get on earth are to love and to be loved, Linda had both. The late Wayne Dyer said “Happiness is not something that you get in life. Happiness is something that you bring to life.” Linda brought the happy to life, she lived happy. She saw humor in everything and she shared her humor with everyone lucky enough to know her. If you hear or tell a story about her it usually involves a joke or prank, she just loved life and laughing. Linda was an angel to many on earth, cleaning their homes, baking wonderful desserts especially her famous eclairs, Christmas cookie platters, painting, making everyone their favorite birthday desserts, full of life & always trying to do something for those in need of a blessing. She especially loved Randy and Lindsey, her son-in-law BJ and her beautiful grand babies, Lily, Colin, Emme and Callie. Of course all of her family and friends felt her love as well. I’d like to share part of a text that Linda wrote to brother, Jim, soon after her diagnosis, “I remain in awe that no matter how overwhelming and scary this journey called life is, when I slow down enough, I realize that it’s just made up of hundreds of thousands of moments of which are pretty darn wonderful if we just take the time to witness and appreciate them. Always remember to see and feel the divine in everything. Love Linda”
