Obituary of Claudio Jose Gonzales
Monroe – Claudio “Cujo” Jose Gonzales, age 57 of Monroe, passed away peacefully at his home on January 28, 2020.
He was born on September 30, 1962, in Toledo, the son of Rafael and Rose (Anaya) Gonzales.
Cujo is survived by his love, Gwen Blunt and their children, Mary, Claudia, and Rafael; two brothers, Ralph (Dee) Gonzales and Steve (Tina) Arriaga; a sister, Cheryl (Phil) Klocke; brother-in-law, Charlie Rhoden; and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Rose Rhoden.
Claudio graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1980 and after graduation, he served 4 years in the U.S. Navy on the Dwight Eisenhower. He lived many years in Battle Creek with Gwen and his children, where he enjoyed his favorite pastime of Karaoke. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from Spring Arbor University. He was an entrepreneur and enjoyed working for Lifetouch as a photographer as an occupation and another pastime.
A memorial service for Cujo will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020, at 10:30 a.m. with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at Holy Family Parish, St. Mary’s Campus with Fr. Mike Newman as Celebrant. A 21 Gun Salute will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. by the American Legion Post #97 and V.F.W. Post #1584 Annis-Fint.
