I’m so sorry for the delay to sending this due to some problems with my family.
You guys don't know me but Greg and I spent
a lot of time together in High School. The problem when school ended he went his way and I went my way. We were both in choir together and would go for coffee especially after concerts.
To tell you a funny story about Greg. He had a great car. It was a pretty green Pontiac with side pipes. He did have a problem locking his keys in the car. He would call me to take him to his house to get keys. So one day I bought him one of those magnetic key boxes. A few days later he called me to ask me to take him to get his keys. I found out he put the key box in the engine compartment which had a release but it was in the inside of the car.
He had one of the best voices I had ever heard at that time. He said he was trained by listening to a record he had and yes it worked.
Please accept my condolences for your family.
I had the pleasure of meeting Greg many years ago on the job. He was one of the most kind and helpful individuals, always greeting people with a smile on his face and in his voice. I was very saddened to hear the news of his passing; he will be missed.
We at Michigan Medicine want share our sympathy and send our thoughts to Greg's family.
We have also donated to the Esophageal Cancer Association in his memory.
Greg is one of the nicest, most helpful people I ever worked with during the time we both worked for NASC which was part of Holcim. I truly consider Greg to have been a real true friend and will miss him. May he rest in peace!
Our thoughts are with you as we pray unceasing for comfort and peace. Greg was a remarkable man and will be greatly missed by all he touched.
My prayers are with you. He was a great man and touched many lives. I will always remember him from Scouts.
About 12 years ago, I volunteered to do a job for the Pack. The Cubmaster thanked me with a homemade scene made with wood, fabric and pipe cleaners. I thought it was a little bit goofy but it was heartfelt... I still have it.
Thank you Greg! You inspired me to be a Den Leader and Cubmaster.
Our hearts are aching at the loss of our dear friend. We pray for the Hopkins family during this difficult time.
