Obituary of Mauri McKinney

Mauri Elaine McKinney, age 71, of Adrian died on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the University of Michigan Hospital. 

 

She was born June 22, 1947, in Adrian to Maurice and Ione (Kinsey) Mossing.  On March 17, 1967, she married Bruce McKinney and he survives.  She had been employed as a Clinic Technician at the Lenawee County Health Department. She loved reading her romance books, her family, going to craft shows, playing cards and Yahtzee, spending winters in Florida, and taking cruises, she also was huge fan of both the Detroit Tigers and The Detroit Pistons. She especially enjoyed eating white cake with wedding cake frosting. Mauri liked to attend track meets and band concerts, of her granddaughter Haylee.  She loved animals, especially her cat, Armani.

 

In addition to her husband, Bruce, of 52 years, she is survived by three daughters, Lauri Arnett of Adrian, Kerri McKinney of Lansing, and Julie McKinney of Temperance, Michigan; two brothers Jay Mossing of Hudson, Florida and Mike (Kay) Mossing of Adrian; a granddaughter, Haylee Arnett of Adrian; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

 

At Mauri’s request, cremation has taken place.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2019, from 10-11 a.m. at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. with Deacon John Crowley officiating.  Burial will be in Lenawee County Memorial Gardens, Tecumseh.
