Obituary of Myrna M. Gilbert
HUDSON-Myrna M. Gilbert, age 76, of Hudson, died peacefully surrounded by her family on the evening of Friday, Jan. 25, 2019.
She was born August 22, 1942, in Adrian to Ralph and Eva (Prowant) Erlacher. Myrna graduated from Madison High School in 1960, where she was elected Secretary of the Future Homemakers of America. Myrna began her career as a sewing machine operator at the Fisher Body division of General Motors in Tecumseh, MI and after 22 yrs she transferred to Toledo Hydra-Matic where she retired from General Motors in 1996 after 30 years of service. In her years following retirement, she enjoyed visiting with her sister, spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and loved her pets.
Everyone who loved her will miss her unique sense of humor.
Myrna is survived by four children, Debora (Victor) Keene of Hudson, Clint (Amy) Gilbert of Hillsdale, Mark Gilbert of Tennessee, and Kelly Baker of Hillsdale; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ralph (Pat) Erlacher of Adrian and Wayne (Diane) Erlacher of Adrian; and a sister, Charlotte (Randy) Wright of Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation for Myrna will be held at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm on Friday, Feb. 1, 2019. A memorial service will begin at 5:30 pm following the visitation. Myrna will be laid to rest next to her beloved mother at a private family service in the spring. You may send condolences to the family at www.andersonfuneralservices.com.
