Obituary of Harold Schadewald Sr.

Sand Creek – Harold Schadewald Sr., age 90, of Sand Creek, passed away on October 22, 2018, at his home surrounded by family.

 

He was born on December 27, 1927, in Deerfield to Paul and Alnora (Vangilder) Shadewald. On December 10, 1960, in Adrian, he married Beverly Jean Westgate and she survives.  He was an electrician for Anderson Development, retiring in 1996 after working there for 36 years.  Harold was a member of the Panda Camping Club and raised ponies.

 

In addition to his wife, Beverly, he is survived by his children, Harold Jr (Eugenia), Linus, Gerald (Sherry), Fred (Sabrina), Diana, Teresa, and Susie; two brothers, Robert and Jim; one sister, Eleanor; 19 grandchildren; and 32 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Tammie and Cherie; infant son, Harold; sister, Kathryn; son-in-law, Bill Bacon; and grandson, Cuyler.

 

Visitation for Harold will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian, with Rev. Bruce Jewett and Pastor Fritz Kruse officiating. Burial will be in Madison Center Cemetery.
