Obituary of Christopher Marquis

ADRIAN – Christopher James Marquis, age 50, of Adrian, passed away at his home on September 26, 2018.

He was born on March 31, 1968, in Blissfield, to James and Patricia (Kohler) Marquis. Chris graduated from Blissfield High School with the class of 1987. On July 2, 2011, in Hugoton, KS, he married Angela G. Thomas and she survives.  Chris worked for Round Lake Sand and Gravel as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He enjoyed fishing, target shooting, movies, riding ATV’s and motorcycles, and just being outside. He was an avid NASCAR fan and owned a variety of cars.  Chris was very social and loved to tell stories that always led to more stories.  He was a joker of all sorts and his laugher was contagious.

In addition to his wife, Angie and his mother, Patricia, Chris is survived by two children, Tommy Marquis (Maddie Castillo) of Ottawa Lake and Terra Marquis (Wyatt Schwartz) Toledo, OH; brother, Mark Murphy of San Angelo, TX; two sisters, Sallie DeSeranno of Deerfield and Stacie Marquis of Blissfield; granddaughter, Braelynn Schwartz and a grandson, due any day;  nieces and nephew, Leeann, Stephanie, and Jacob; and great nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, James and his paternal and maternal grandparents.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at 8:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service at Anderson-Rudd Funeral Home, Blissfield.
