Obituary of Paul Clinton Klein
ADRIAN-Paul Clinton Klein, age 83, of Adrian, died on September 18, 2018, at his home surrounded by family.
He was born February 5, 1935, in Cleveland, Ohio to Paul Joseph and Lillie June (McMullen) Klein. On May 28, 1960, he married Betty Ellen Hileman in Columbus, Ohio and she survives. Paul served in the U.S. Army from 1953-1957 as a paratrooper serving most of his time in Germany. He was a member of St. Mary of Good Counsel Parish and was a member of the choir for many years. Paul was very involved with the community, serving as a Union Representative at General Motors, served on the board of the NAACP, and volunteered for Call Someone Concerned. He was an avid outdoors man and enjoyed hunting, fishing, canoeing, swimming and playing racquetball. He was also an Amateur Radio Operator. He loved dogs and training them.
In addition to his wife, Betty, he is survived by a daughter, Karen (Merrill) Bressette of Coleman, Michigan; two sons, Michael (Dawn) Klein of Springfield, Ohio and Christopher (Tonya) Klein of Fairborn, Ohio; grandchildren, Brandon Klein, Andrew Klein, Kiara Lamb, Alex Klein, Delbert Bressette, and Breanna Bressette; two great-grandchildren, Paityn and Kinley; and Baby Dog, who he dearly loved. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Evelyn Reiner and Geraldine Cady; a niece Diana; and two nephews, Raymond and Alfred.
Visitation for Paul will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2018, from 4-8 p.m. with a Vigil Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian. The Funeral Liturgy will be offered on Friday, September 21, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary of Good Counsel Parish with Fr. Jack Loughran as celebrant. Burial will be in Lenawee Hills Memorial Park, Adrian.
