Obituary of Patrica Mary Ann Emmons
Patricia Emmons, age 77 of Morenci, died Monday, September 3, 2018, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Maumee, OH. She was born October 6, 1940 in Adrian, to William and Dortheda (Bice) Beach. Patricia was a 1959 graduate of Adrian High School. On December 20, 1958, Patricia married Roger Emmons in Morenci and he survives.
Patricia was a farmer’s wife. She worked as a cook and caterer, particularly for the Village Inn in Morenci and her most recent job before retiring was postmaster relief for Jasper Post Office. She was an active member for many years of the 4-H Project Parent and also Jasper Bible Church. As an avid bowler and member of the Women’s Bowling Association, she traveled various places during her bowling career and was quite decorated. Patricia was a member of the American Legion, Unit #275 Auxiliary and a life member of the Morenci Sportsmen Club.
Surviving Patricia, in addition to her husband, Roger, are three daughters, Tammie Reasoner of Adrian, Terrie Whitehead of Morenci, Robyn (Michael) Taylor of Morenci, a son, Bill (Karla) Emmons of Adrian, a brother, Danny (Dorothy) Beach of Columbus, GA, and an uncle, Lloyd (Donna) Bice of Clayton. Also surviving are 22 grandchildren and 20 plus one on the way great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, a granddaughter, Danielle, a great-grandson, Izaiah, one brother, Jerry, two sisters, Diane Schmucker and Linda Peters.
Funeral services for Patricia will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. from Jasper Bible Church with Pastor Bruce Jewett officiating. Burial will be in Ridgeville Cemetery. Visitation hours will be on Wednesday from 3-8 p,m, at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home in Adrian, and also there will be a visitation hour on Thursday at Jasper Bible Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.
