Obituary of Martin Garcia

MARTIN TORRES GARCIA, age 65 of Adrian, died Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at Hospice of Lenawee Hospice Home.  He was born February 19, 1953, in Marianna, Arkansas, to Martin Garcia and Alexandria Ramirez Torres.  On June 19, 1991, Martin married Elsie Lopez in Toledo, Ohio, and she survives. Martin served his country in the United States Army, serving in Vietnam.  He was self employed and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Surviving Martin, in addition to his wife, Elsie, are six sons; Rick (Kathy) Garcia, Ramon Garcia, and Mario (Krissy) Garcia, James Mota, Lewis Mota , and Michael Mota, and three daughters; Rosa (Christopher) Cook, Crystal Keys, Lisa (Doug) Scott and Theresa Jones.  Also surviving is a brother; Daniel (Kris) Garcia and a sister, Hope Garcia, 27 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.  Preceding him in death were his parents, two sisters, one brother, grandparents, two uncles and a grandson.The funeral liturgy will be offered on Friday August 31, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Adrian with Fr. Jack Loughran as celebrant.  Visitation hours will be on Thursday 2 – 4 p.m. at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home in Adrian with a Vigil Prayer Service to be held at 4 p.m.  There will also be a visitation hour at St. Mary’s on Friday from 9 – 10 a.m.  Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.You may send condolences to the family at www.andersonfuneralservices.com.
