Joan J. Gaydosh
ADRIAN - Joan J. Gaydosh passed away on August 16, 2018 at Hospice of Lenawee. She was born on October 26, 1933 in Adrian to Lloyd & Edith (Beaubien) Ostrander. She was first married to Harold Miller, she then married Ronald Dwight Gaydosh, on May 6, 1961 and remained married to him until his death on November 2, 1977.
Joan (pronounced Jo-ann!) worked her early years at Bohn 13 in Adrian, she then worked at Stubnitz Greene until they closed. She retired from Homer Donaldson in Hudson and worked for a few years after that in the kitchen at Lenawee Christian. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, cribbage, euchre, a fresh cup of CAFFINATED coffee, making her German potato salad, baking lebkuckens, riding around on her lawn mower and spending time with her family. She was the youngest of 13 and proud of being from Sunnyside.
She is survived by her children: Terry (Deward) Gaydosh, Dawn (Tom) Kominek, Margarette (Rick) Gritzmaker and Kevin (Leann) Gaydosh; her grandchildren: Brian (Amber Solis) Gaydosh, Kimberly (Rob) Briskey, Kendall (Ellie) Gaydosh, Whittney (Austin) Mudd, Willow (Angel Smith) Gritzmaker, Tanner Gritzmaker, Katie (Ben) Saley, and Jordan Kominek: great grandchildren: Samantha (David Piggott) Gaydosh, Devyn Briskey, Kayla Briskey and Marvel Mudd and sister, Dorothy Wagner of Palmyra and special nieces: Bonnie Ries, Pam Liski & Wendy O'Dell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight; brothers: Gilbert, Leslie, Harold, Donald, Richard, Kenneth, Leonard & Robert Ostrander and sisters: Doris Coutz, Evelyn Glisson and Velma Gonzales
Visitation for Joan will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2018, 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian. The funeral service will be held at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian on Monday, August 20, 2018 at 11 AM, officiated by Rev. Bruce Jewett. Burial will be in Lenawee Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. You may send condolences to the family at www.andersonfuneralsrervices.com.
