Robert “Bob” Allen Fay, age 78 of Adrian, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, July 28, 2018, surrounded by his family. He was born on January 8, 1940, in Adrian, Michigan to Glenn and Geraldine (May) Fay. Upon the death of his father, Bob’s mother was remarried to James White, who became a second father to him. On January 7, 1959, Wauseon, Ohio, he married Sally Kast and she survives. Bob worked as an Electrician for Local Union #8 IBEW and Ford Motor Company, retiring in 2003. He was a born-again Christian, past president of the Amateur Radio Club, DXpeditioner and county hunter, bird watcher, aka “Mayor of the Magee Marsh Boardwalk”, Cub Master (Prairie School), he loved to eat, tracing his family ancestry through genealogy all the way back to c.595 and enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids.
In addition to his wife Sally, Bob is survived by two sons, Gregg (Cindy) Fay of Adrian and Ricky Fay of Saline; daughter, Glenda (Bruce) Jones of Mesa, AZ; sister, Sharon (Cris) Fuentes of Las Cruses, NM; step-brother, James (Sharon) White of Addison; step-sister, Jannetta (Tom) Dilyard of Archbold, OH; aunt, Lorraine May of Adrian; six grandchildren, Matthew (Erin) Fay, Danielle (Ryan) Alltaffer, Natali Fay, Katelyn Jones, Derek (Lindsie) Jones, and Danielle (Justin) Callahan; and 9 great grandchildren, Ellison, Carter, Ava, Blake, Kadence, Liam, Ivy, Willow, and River. He was preceded in death by his parents and dear daughter-in-law, Lisa Fay.
Visitation for Bob will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2018, from 2-8 p.m. at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 3, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian with Pastor Scott Winstead officiating. Cremation will follow. A private burial of cremains will take place at a later date at Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci.
