Obituary of John Williams

ADRIAN – John Williams, age 89, of Adrian, died July 21, 2018, at Hospice of Lenawee Hospice Home.

 

He was born November 30, 1928 in Huntsville, Alabama to Harvey and Frances (Hallmark) Williams. On April 11, 1953 he married Hazel Hammond in Lucedale, Mississippi and she preceded him in death on September 8, 2006. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy.

 

John is survived by two sons, Norman (Brenda) Williams of Adrian, and Kellis A. (Luminita) Williams of Pensacola, FL; three daughters, Norma (Patrick) Bournes of Adrian, Karen Williams of Adrian, and Kathy (Richard) Lake of Tecumseh; one brother, Harvey (Wanda) Williams of Shelbyville, TN; two sisters, Juanita Reynolds of Adrian, and Lessie Mills of Palmyra;; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. In addition to his wife, Hazel, he was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Lorece and one in infancy; two brothers, W. Oakland and Jasper “Ellion”; two sisters-in-law, Jane and Minnie Williams; and brother-in-law, Loy Mills.

 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian with Rev. William Van Valkenburg officiating.

Burial will be in Lenawee Hills Memorial Park, Adrian.
