Dorothy Leatha Gunderman, age 100 of Blissfield, MI, died Friday, July 6, 2018, at St. Ann’s Hospital in Toledo, OH. Dorothy was born on February 10, 1918, in Marion, OH to Carmen and Mary Harmon.
She married the love of her life, George Gunderman, sixty-five years ago. Dorothy was fashionable, glamorous, and very entertaining. She was a creative soul belonging to the Frog Town Storytellers and the Compass Club of Northwest OH. Dorothy decorated cakes, made jewelry, painted beautiful oil pictures and worked with George in the pottery and picnic table business. Dorothy received a 100th birthday card from the President and first lady.
Dorothy will be missed by her husband George; four grandchildren, Guy and Olivia Raftshol, Kelly Stork and Ronald Kenner; and many generations of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry and daughter, Lynda Raftshol.
A funeral will be held Thursday, July 12, 2018, at 1 p.m. at the Anderson-Rudd Funeral Home, Blissfield, with Pastor Devin Smith officiating. Visitation will be from 11 until 12:45 prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Toledo Memorial Park, Sylvania, OH.
