North Adams – Stephen Willard Crafts, age 69, of North Adams, passed away on June 4, 2018, at his home under the loving care of his family and Heartland Hospice after a short battle with cancer.
He was born on April 28, 1949, in Adrian, to Willard and Arlene (Brazee) Crafts. Stephen was a self-employed butcher, owning and operating Crafts Meats until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family and dog, Brownie. Stephen is survived by two sons, Eric Crafts of Dallas, TX and Ryan (Shelly) Crafts of Jerome; three daughters, Ginger (Jason) Seymour of Adrian, Stacie Crafts of Adrian, and Brooke Hoyt of Hillsdale; one brother, Dean Crafts of Clayton; two sisters, Linda Echelbarger of Adrian and Cindy Crafts Stern of Mesa, Arizona; seven grandchildren, Brock (Carla) Griewahn, Josh and Nathan Pigg, Brendan Robison, Jaxon Crafts, Izzy Sawdey, and Harley Smith; seven great grandchildren, Natalee, Brian, Brynn, Carter, baby Nate, Khila, and Kenzey; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Linda (Miller) Crafts.
A memorial service for Stephen will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian with Rev. Michael Crafts officiating. Interment will take place at Lenawee Hills Memorial Park, Adrian after the service.
