FAYETTE, OH. – John M. “Mack” Dickson Jr., age 64, of Fayette, OH, passed away on May 7, 2018, at Hospice of NW Ohio surrounded by his family.
He was born on June 20, 1953, in Westfield, NY, to John M. and Sarah (Brumagin) Dickson Sr. He received his bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Miami of Ohio. On July 24, 2004, in Ohio, he married Annette E. Nichols and she survives. From an early age, Mack had an entrepreneurial spirit about him. He was a General Manager of Bob Evans and then he and his partners owned and operated restaurants, two of them being Rally’s and Big Boy in Adrian. In his free time, he loved to golf and was an avid reader.
In addition to his wife, Annette, Mack is survived by his children, Natalie (Amy) Blackburn of Columbus, OH, Henry “Hank” Dickson of Elyria, OH, and Melissa Dickson of Pennsylvania; step-children, Christopher Rhoden of Mishawaka, IN, Nathaniel (Charlotte) Rhoden of Granger, IN, and Ryan (Laura) Nichols of Osceola, IN; brother, Tim (Nancy) Dickson of Pinehurst, NC; seven grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and his three Bichon Frises, Ziva, Izzy, and Bob. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service for Mack will be held on May 14, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. with visitation from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian.
