Obituary of Patricia Holmes

Patricia A. “Pat” Holmes, age 70 of Adrian, passed away in the presence of her loving family on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at ProMedica Bixby Hospital, Adrian.  She was born on January 9, 1948 in Opelika, Alabama to Raymond and Ora (Lacey) Holland. On January 19, 2002 she married Robert R. “Bob” Holmes and he preceded her in death on February 2, 2008. Pat was a member of Adrian Church of Christ. She was an LPN and retired from Provincial House in September of 2001. She was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.

 

Pat is survived by two sons, J. David (Aileen Heck) Raper of Adrian and Christopher (Erin Smith) Raper of Ypsilanti; five grandchildren, Jaimee (Teddy) Morris, Zachary Raper, Emily Raper, Camryn Raper and Dane Raper; three great-grandchildren, Braden and Tabitha Morris, and Abigail Raper. In addition to her husband, Bob, she was preceded in death by her parents and her step-father, Alfred Cook and a brother, Jimmy Wray Holland in infancy and her beloved dog, Fawn.

 

Funeral services for Pat will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Adrian. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 4 – 8 p.m. at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian.
