Fayette, Ohio – William “Buck” Robert Johnston III, age 64, died on April 7, 2018, at St. Vincent Hospital.
He was born on November 7, 1953, in Detroit to William II and Marjory (Tompkins) Johnston. Buck married Angie Lea Wilder in 2001, and she survives. He was retired from driving truck for 35 years. Buck had a big heart. He loved his many friends and enjoyed riding his Harley, getting together for road trips or just ride for the day, hill climbs, Bike Week, and just shooting the breeze. He loved his restored 63 Chevy Pick-up. Buck was loved by all and will be sadly missed by his family and three lifelong friends, Willie Gutting, Ed (Bogart) Double, and Dick Smoke; that will always ride with the wind at their backs.
Surviving Buck is the love of his life and lifetime partner, Angie Lea Johnston; step-daughter, Helena (Terence) Garrett, to whom Buck was referred to as “Pops”; step-son, Ian (Serina) Anderson; three step-grandsons, Maleke and Amari Tenzy, who referred to him as PaPa Buck, and Diago all of Fayette, OH; one sister, Anne (Roger) Morton; nephew, Jeffrey; great niece, Ronya; and great nephew, Robert. All who loved him very much. He was preceded in death by his parents
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 4:00 p.m. at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian.
