Obituary of Cleo Carson

TECUMSEH – Cleo Y. Carson, age 76, of Tecumseh, passed away on January 30, 2018, surrounded by her family at Hospice of Lenawee Hospice Home.

She was born September 9, 1941 in Adrian to Raymond and Theda (Froehlich) Shaw. On September 16, 1959, she married Larry D. Carson he preceded her in death on October 28, 2015. Cleo had worked as a Nurse’s Aide, at Herrick Hospital and then for Maria Health Care for 17 years, until she retired. She enjoyed her grandchildren, reading, bird watching and flowers.

She is survived by one son, Troy Dean (Rose) Carson of Palmyra; two daughters, Yvonne Denise (Doug) Schneider of Onsted, and Heidi Lorraine (Frank) Jaqua of Riga; two brothers, Floyd Dean (Caroline) Wells of Clayton and Duane (Denine) Wells of Tecumseh; three sisters, Grace Heistand of Jackson, Norma Jean Smith of Tecumseh and Esther (Gary) Bartlett of Adrian; 10 grandchildren, Kristen Carson, Matthew Carson, Jessica (Nathan) Whitehead, Kaitlyn Carson, Bradley (Andrea) Schneider, Brett Schneider, Randy Schneider, Andrew Schneider, Mitchell Jaqua, and Ethan Jaqua; and three great grandchildren, Hannah, Avery, and Chloe.. Preceding her in death is her husband Larry; parents; and, brother-in-law’s, Norman Heistand, and Bill Smith.

Visitation for Cleo will be held on Friday, February 2, 2018, 3-7 p.m. at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018, at 10:00 a.m.at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian with Pastor Dave Case officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
