Obituary of Norman Dazey

ADRIAN-Norman L. Dazey, age 85, of Adrian, died January 24, 2018, at Provincial House of Adrian.

He was born December 9, 1932, in Adrian to Ralph E. and Martha Elsie (Bohlke) Dazey.  Norman served in the U.S. Army from 1955-1957.  He had been employed by Tecumseh Products for 45 years.  He was married to his first wife, Kay, on August 21, 1954.  She preceded him in death on May 26, 1991. On November 21, 1992, he married Gloria Stegg Pifer and she survives.  Norman enjoyed NASCAR and playing cards.  He was a member of Christ the Redeemer Lutheran Church, the American Legion Post #97, the Moose, and had been a Boy Scout Leader.

 

In addition to his wife, Gloria, he is survived by a son, Paul Dazey of Belleville, Michigan; two daughters, Pamela Dazey of Spring Lake, Michigan and LeiAnn (Mark Sprague) Dazey of Adrian; a step-son, Marvin “Bud” (Bonnie) Pifer of Brooklyn, Michigan; two step-daughters, Pamela (Pieter) Stammis of Coopersville, Michigan and Christine (Charles) Wilson of Perrysburg, Ohio; two granddaughters, Suzanne (Jeremy) Taylor and Sara Kay (Jordan) Durga; six step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; two great granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his first wife, Kay, he was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Dazey; two sisters, Margaret Beyerlein and Dorothy Mumaw; and one step-granddaughter.

 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018, beginning at 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian with Rev. Franklin Gunn officiating.             

Burial will be Holloway Raisin Presbyterian Cemetery.  You may send condolences to the family at www.andersonfuneralservices.com. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lenawee.  Envelopes will be available at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian.
