Obituary of Walter Brown

ADRIAN-Walter Moran Brown, age 93, of Adrian, died September 26, 2017, at ProMedica Bixby Hospital.  He was born September 6, 1924, in Haskell, Oklahoma to Owen T. and Dovie L. (Richardson) Brown.  He was married to Faye F. Russell on March 7, 1946, in Fayetteville, Arkansas and she survives. Walter served in the U. S. Army Air Force in the South Pacific during WWII.  He had been a member of Local 20 Teamsters and had been employed by Suburban Motors.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Walter was a member of the American Legion Post #97. 

In addition to his wife, Faye, he is survived by a daughter, Janice Brown of Adrian; two sons, Donald Brown of Adrian and Walter Brown of Adrian ; grandchildren, Troy Brown, Amy Bassett, and Dawn Suchman; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Fivecoat of Adrian and Doris (James) Shaffer of Adrian; and a brother, Harold Brown of Tampa, Florida.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mable Pucket; and two brothers, Howard and Earl Brown.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 29, 2017, beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m. at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian with Pastor Larry Betz officiating.  Burial will be in Lenawee Hills Memorial Park, Adrian with full Military Rites conducted by the American Legion Post #97 and V.F.W. Post #1584 Annis-Fint.
