ADRIAN – Joyce Hanna, age 72, of Adrian, loving wife, mother, homemaker, and wonderful caretaker of her husband of 53 years, passed away on June 17, 2017, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born on October 27, 1944, in Adrian to Irving and Elsie (Hebb) Brown. She married Rudolph J. Hanna on March 28, 1964, and he is surviving. She worked in Real Estate from the mid 1970’s until 2015 working for Whatley Real Estate, Glover Real Estate, Abraham-Linehan Real Estate, and Linda Rudd and Associates. She was a member of Jasper Bible Church. Joyce enjoyed many trips around the U.S. with her husband Rudy and also girls’ week in Florida during hunting season with her favorite late cousin, Carol Delong and the family gals. She loved the beaches in Florida and the countless years of camping with church family and friends.
In addition to her husband, Rudy, Joyce is survived by two daughters, Tamara (Brett) Terry of Adrian and Sherry (Dan) Shaffer II of Sand Creek; son, Todd (Monica) Hanna of Rose City, MI; sister, Betty Snyder of Lake City, FL; brother, Roy Brown of Bentonville, AR; grandchildren, Kayla and Robbie Terry, Dan and Delbert Shaffer, Courtney and Lindsay Hanna, and Brady and Brock Renner; and her extended Florida family and great friends, Gene and Georgia Gallant and the much appreciated help from her nephew, John French. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial services for Joyce will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian with Rev. Bruce Jewett officiating. Private burial has taken place. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 23, 2017, from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday, June 24, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian.
