Obituary of James "Wayne" Venable

BLISSFIELD-James “Wayne” Venable, age 64, of Blissfield, died on Sunday, January 22, 2017, at Toledo Hospital. He was born February 24, 1952, in Adrian to James and Josephine F. (Farmer) Venable. On July 5, 1982, he married Deona Butler and she survives. Wayne had been employed by Kewaunee’s Manufacturing for 15 years and then by Wilbert Ellis for 15 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and making life fun for those he loved. He loved animals, gardening and mowing lawn. In addition to his wife, Deona, he is survived by a daughter, Rashell (Nate Helmke) Venable of Blissfield; two sons, James “Jamie” (Crystal) Venable of Georgia and Keith (Cristy) Venable of Georgia; four sisters, Fran Hill, Rita (Dan) Higgins, Virginia (Mark) Robotham, and Kathy (Gerald) Covell; and a brother, Larry (Sandy) Venable; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and his dogs, Roo and Hanna. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Dorothy Runyon; and a brother, Kevin Venable. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the Anderson-Rudd Funeral Home, Blissfield with his brother-in-law, Dan Higgins officiating, to be followed by cremation.
