Obituary of Andrew Garcia
Andrew Chance Garcia ADRIAN – Andrew Chance Garcia, age 2, returned to Jesus while in arms of his momma and daddy in his home, January 29, 2012. Andrew entered his home in his momma’s arms and he departed his home in his momma’s arms. He was born April 15, 2009, in Ft. Worth, Texas, to Jerry and Sarah Garcia. Andrew was born with a terminal brain disorder called “Hydranencephaly”. Life expectancy is very short for these children, but Andrew lived far beyond the boundaries set for him by medical professionals. Mommy & Daddy heard about him and wanted to adopt him immediately and give him the life & love he deserved. Andrew also played a VITAL role in his family ministry traveling all over the country reaching deep into the life & hearts of people with his story of physical struggle, challenges and triumphs. His daddy, Jerry Garcia always sang to him on stage and would share his story through music. Daddy will sing to him one more time at his going home celebration service. Please come and join us! Andrew was strong and brave to the very end never giving up the fight. He loved frogs and will forever be our “Froggie Prince”. Jerry & Sarah Garcia are asking any and all those who Andrew has touched during his and their travels to please come and share their hearts and stories on how Andrew was a blessing to them. IF YOU CAN, PLEASE WEAR BRIGHT COLORS FOR CELEBRATION OR GREEN FOR FROGS. In addition to his parents, he is survived by four sisters, Emmilee, Katie, and Yesenia Garcia of Adrian, and Jessica McManus of Hillsdale; maternal grandparents, Robert and Sally Morrow of Signal Mtn., TN; paternal grandmother, Esperanza (Hope) Garcia of Adrian.
