Obituary of Monroe Vaughn

Monroe Clarence Vaughn DEERFIELD – Monroe Clarence Vaughn, age 89, of Deerfield, died Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Magnum Health and Rehab. He was born December 20, 1922, in Senath, Missouri to Andrew Jefferson and Stella Jane (Neighbors) Vaughn. He was married to Wilma Young on September 20, 1947, in Piggot, Arkansas, and she survives. He was employed by Tecumseh Products, retiring in 1982. Monroe moved back to Missouri after his retirement, from 1982-1997. He also enjoyed playing baseball and horseshoes. In addition to his wife, Wilma, he is survived by two daughters, LaDonne Dale of Adrian and her sons, Tim and Terry Dale and grandchild, Lauren and Gail Sanchez of Adrian and her daughter, Sara (Joseph) Kies and her son, David Sanchez; one brother, Nathan (Dorothy) Vaughn of Senath, Missouri. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank Vaughn in childhood and Floyd Vaughn; three sisters, Gladys Simpson, Mavis Simpson, and Ruth Perry; and a great-grandson, Trevor Dale. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at 2 P.M at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian with Pastor Pete Valdez officiating. Burial will be in Deerfield Cemetery with full graveside military honors conducted by the Deerfield American Legion Post #392. Visitation will be held on Wednesday January 4, 2012 from 4-8 P.M at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian. Visitation will also be held on Thursday from 12-1:45 P.M.
